Before venturing into screen acting, Scott Hylands honed his craft on stage for several years. His on-screen debut was in 1969 with the film “Daddy’s Gone A-Hunting.” He further showcased his talent in movies such as “Operation Snafu,” “Fools,” “Slipstream,” “Earthquake,” and “Bittersweet Love,” while also making appearances in various TV productions like “Griff,” “Kung Fu,” “The Magician,” “Wonder Woman,” “Police Story,” “The Waltons,” and “Hart To Hart.”

Scott’s career flourished over the years, notably landing the lead role of Detective Kevin “OB” O’Brien in the ’80s police drama series Night Heat, which aired for four seasons from 1985 to 1989. Notably, Night Heat was the first Canadian original drama series broadcast simultaneously on American television. Following the show’s conclusion, Scott Hylands continued to grace screens in series such as “To Catch A Killer,” “NYPD Blue,” “Titanic,” “The X-Files,” “Stargate SG-1,” “V,” and “Supernatural.”
