A child was injured when shards of glass were found attached to a slide in a park. The incident occurred at a park on Mill Road in Cardiff, where the 10-year-old boy’s clothes were torn, and he suffered a minor cut. The boy was playing with his family members and unknowingly slid over the glass pieces.

The mother, who chose to remain anonymous, shared that her son was distressed by the incident and expressed reluctance to return to the playground. She mentioned that his shorts were ripped, but fortunately, his injury was minor. The mother expressed her anger and disappointment over the situation, emphasizing that parks should be safe spaces for children to play.

Following the incident, the mother reported the matter to the police and attempted to reach out to the local council for further action. Subsequently, a sign was placed on the slide cautioning park users against using glass on it to prevent similar incidents.

South Wales Police confirmed receiving a report about the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing. They noted that the child sustained a minor injury and damage to clothing due to the glass on the slide.
