Trump, known for sharing unconventional content on social media, did not provide an explanation for his post. Another AI-created image featured a slimmed-down Trump wearing an Elvis-style outfit with sequined bald eagles. In a separate image, Trump’s face was combined with Washington’s, accompanied by the text “250 years – in God We Trust.”

This latest post by Trump is seen as an attempt to connect the 250th anniversary of the U.S. founding with his own political career, as he often tries to align his movement with the ideals of the American Revolution. Critics accused Trump of politicizing the anniversary by organizing rallies and diverting funds to his “Freedom 250” task force, undermining a bipartisan congressional commission.

Supporters of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement praised the image of Trump with Lincoln and Washington as “three American legends.” However, critics responded by creating their own versions of the image, replacing the historical figures with controversial figures like Jeffrey Epstein. Some users edited Trump’s image to depict him as a clown, while others criticized his post as “deranged.”

This is not the first time Trump has sparked controversy with edited images. Earlier this year, he shared a now-deleted image portraying himself as Jesus Christ, which received backlash from religious groups. Trump later defended the image, claiming he thought it depicted him as a healer.
