A tragic incident occurred in Spain where a British woman lost her life shortly after a destructive wildfire left her and her partner in critical condition. Lisa Fryett and Simon Batchelor, residents of Essex, were in the vicinity of Bédar and Los Gallardos when the fire erupted in nearby areas.

Following the blaze on July 14, the couple was rescued from the flames and urgently transported to the hospital due to severe injuries. Sadly, Lisa Fryett passed away, surrounded by her family in Spain, as confirmed by an update on a GoFundMe page set up to aid the family. The fundraiser expressed the family’s profound grief, stating that Lisa had fought bravely until the end, with loved ones by her side.

Expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support, the family acknowledged the donations, shares, and prayers received during this challenging time. The donations have exceeded £650,000, aiming to provide a fitting farewell for Lisa.

While Mr. Batchelor remains in critical condition in the hospital, the fundraiser appeals for continued thoughts and prayers for his recovery. The family remains hopeful, taking each day as it comes, and appreciates the ongoing support and kindness shown.
