The 48-year-old former model has a strong bond with her mother, Amy, who is battling a terminal illness known as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Amy was diagnosed with this condition in 2017 and recently endured an extended hospitalization.

Currently, Katie’s mother resides on the Isle of Wight, while Katie lives in a spacious four-bedroom mansion in Sussex. Katie acknowledged the possibility of acquiring a new property to support her mother’s care needs. During a podcast episode of the Katie Price Show, she mentioned considering a smaller place with stables on the Isle of Wight to manage both locations without relocating entirely.

The situation with her mother weighs heavily on Katie, who expressed the difficulties they are facing. Her sister, Sophie, emphasized the family’s collaborative effort to provide care for their mother. Katie elaborated on the family’s decision to take turns caring for their mother, recognizing the need for additional support.

IPF is a progressive lung disease characterized by the thickening and scarring of lung tissue over time, resulting in symptoms like breathlessness, a persistent cough, and fatigue. Katie previously became emotional while discussing her mother’s illness during a public event, expressing gratitude for her mother’s enduring support despite her health struggles.

Earlier this year, Katie shared a video illustrating her mother’s physical decline due to the illness but highlighted her mother’s resilience. Last year, Katie revealed that Amy faced challenges with mobility after a lung transplant as she continues her battle against IPF.
