Police authorities in Guelph, Ontario, have apprehended the parents of a 20-month-old toddler who passed away in 2023. The Guelph Police Service disclosed the arrests on Wednesday, following an extensive inquiry into the child’s demise. Responding to a distress call on January 25, 2023, emergency services hurried to an apartment close to the city center where the lifeless child was discovered. At the time, a four-year-old child also resided in the same residence. The 36-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, residents of Guelph, face charges of criminal negligence resulting in death and two charges of neglecting to provide essential care to a child. Both suspects appeared in a Guelph courtroom on Wednesday morning.
