Desperate Search for Missing Indigenous Teen, Peyton Flett

Published on

Danica Moore has been separated from her 14-year-old daughter, Peyton Flett, since the evening of June 14 and hasn’t had any contact with her since. According to Moore, Flett had gone to stay with her sisters after leaving with her grandmother that night.

The most recent sighting of Flett was reported in Prince Albert, specifically around John Diefenbaker School and the intersections of Marquis Road and Central Avenue between June 16 and 17. During that time, she was dressed in a grey/red hoodie, blue Christmas pajama pants, and carried a black fanny pack.

Described as Indigenous, approximately five-foot-four, weighing around 115 pounds, with black/reddish hair and brown eyes, Flett’s family is eager for her safe return. Moore expressed her message to Flett, reassuring her that she is loved and always welcome home, even if she is scared.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Flett’s whereabouts or the circumstances of her disappearance to come forward. Major crimes Inspector Lisa Simonson emphasized the importance of sharing any details, no matter how small they may seem, to assist in locating Flett.

The major crimes unit is actively involved in investigating Flett’s case due to her age, the elapsed time since her disappearance, and the nature of the situation. Simonson highlighted the specialized training and expertise of the investigators in handling complex cases like missing persons.

Moore has been actively searching for her daughter and reaching out to the community for assistance. She described Flett as a kind-hearted individual who enjoys drawing and spending time with her siblings. Moore’s plea to her daughter is to return home and make their family whole again, emphasizing the love and longing for her safe return.

With Flett’s 15th birthday approaching on August 19, Moore hopes for her daughter’s prompt return to celebrate the occasion together as a family. She expressed the deep void felt in their family’s life without Flett’s presence and the emotional turmoil they are enduring during her absence.
