The Windsor Police Service has announced the arrest of a 27-year-old man for impaired driving following a vehicle collision with a house. Responding to a call on Armanda Street close to Malden Road around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, officers discovered the car positioned on the front lawn of the residence, its front bumper in contact with the front steps. The driver, who was still inside the vehicle, exhibited various indications of impairment, such as bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, lack of balance, and drowsiness, according to the police. After apprehending the driver, law enforcement transported him to Windsor police headquarters, where a breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit by more than double. The individual is facing charges of impaired driving. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident, although the property sustained over $10,000 in damages.
