Tachinski and the team secured a bronze medal at the IFAF World Flag Football Championships in Dusseldorf, Germany, by defeating Mexico 34-26 in a thrilling match that ended in overtime with Guillaume Béland intercepting a crucial pass.

The victory not only earned Canada the bronze but also secured their spot at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, where flag football will make its debut as an official event. Tachinski described the moment as surreal and indescribable, emphasizing the emotional impact of the win.
