Amelia Dimoldenberg, the host of the popular YouTube show “Chicken Shop Date,” has decided to end the show after over a decade of interviewing celebrities over fried chicken. Dimoldenberg shared her decision in an Instagram post, expressing gratitude to her followers for their support throughout the show’s run.
Starting the show 12 years ago in Britain’s underground rap scene, Dimoldenberg expanded to interview a wide range of celebrities, accumulating nearly 3.5 million subscribers on her YouTube channel. The show’s format involves Dimoldenberg going on casual “dates” with celebrities at fried chicken shops in London, where she asks a mix of flirty, funny, and sometimes awkward questions, creating a unique and engaging dynamic.
Notable interviews include conversations with Keke Palmer, Conan O’Brien, Paul McCartney, and Jack Harlow, among others. The show’s success has opened doors for Dimoldenberg beyond the chicken shop, such as covering the Oscars and developing a young adult drama series for the BBC.
Although Dimoldenberg’s future plans are not fully disclosed, she hinted at some upcoming final episodes before concluding “Chicken Shop Date” for good.
