A 21-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with suspected appendicitis, only to unexpectedly give birth 45 minutes later. Demi-Lee Sefton, who had no idea she was pregnant, is now a proud mother to baby girl Hazel. Medical professionals revealed that Demi-Lee’s pregnancy went unnoticed because the baby was positioned towards her back, resulting in no visible bump or fetal movements.

Despite having no pregnancy symptoms, Demi-Lee experienced regular bleeding that she mistook for her menstrual cycle. She described feeling normal cramps and took painkillers before eventually seeking medical help due to worsening pain, initially thinking it was appendicitis. Paramedics identified that she was in labor, a revelation that left her confused and in significant discomfort.

Hospital staff determined that Demi-Lee was at least 30 weeks pregnant and swiftly prepared her for delivery. Her partner, Brad Barrington, missed the birth as he was at work. Demi-Lee struggled to reach Brad, who initially doubted her claim of being in labor but was overcome with joy upon hearing about the birth of their daughter.
