Jude Riordan, known for his role as Sam Blakeman on the popular TV show Coronation Street, comes from a talented family background. Making his Coronation Street debut in 2020, Jude portrays the character of Sam Blakeman, revealed as the secret son of Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).

Throughout the series, Sam has been part of significant storylines, including the heartbreaking death of his mother, Natasha Blakeman, at the hands of thug Harvey Gaskell. Recently, a new plot unfolded for Sam as he started suspecting the relationship between athletics coach Megan Walsh and Will Driscoll.

Megan, who is pregnant with Will’s child, has been grooming him without the knowledge of his loved ones. Sam’s growing suspicions led to a confrontation with Megan at Speed Daal, where she warned him to keep silent about his observations.

Interestingly, Jude comes from a family deeply rooted in show business. His father, Paul Riordan, a successful television director, entered the industry through a role in Hollyoaks and has since directed episodes of various soap operas, including Emmerdale and Casualty.

In 2021, Paul joined Jude on the set of Coronation Street, directing a scene featuring his son. The duo shared a heartwarming moment captured in a photo on the iconic Cobbles. Additionally, they collaborated on a short film called Hidden, which received accolades at the British Independent Film Awards.

In a unique family connection, Jude’s brother Zach also appeared on Coronation Street in 2022, playing Oscar in a chess tournament scene with Sam at the bistro. The Riordan family continues to make waves in the entertainment industry, showcasing their talent across different platforms.
