Savannah Guthrie made a heartfelt appeal just before the recent development in the case of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who went missing on January 31. Authorities initiated a search for the 84-year-old woman the following day.

Subsequently, a suspect was apprehended shortly after security footage was disclosed, revealing a masked individual at the senior woman’s residence on the day she disappeared. Law enforcement is currently examining a property in Rio Roco, Arizona, in connection with the investigation.

Nevertheless, the detained person’s mother-in-law stated to local media that her relative is not involved in the disappearance. Following the release of the chilling footage, TV personality Savannah took to social media to issue a passionate plea.

On Instagram, the NBC News anchor posted the videos with a message urging the public to come forward if they recognize the individual, believing that Nancy is still missing and urging for her safe return.

Earlier, she had conveyed a similar sentiment, expressing hope that Nancy is alive and appealing for any relevant information to be shared with the authorities. The footage captured a person with a backpack and ski mask, attempting to obscure the camera while holding a torch and using a plant from the victim’s yard.

The footage was made available nearly a week after initial reports indicated a lack of footage due to an expired doorbell camera subscription. However, investigators managed to retrieve the footage from backend systems after extensive efforts to recover lost or corrupted images.

Nancy vanished from her residence in the early hours of February 1, with investigators suspecting she was abducted. Recently, Savannah shared an emotional message, thanking everyone for their support and prayers during this distressing time, emphasizing the urgency of the situation and the need for cooperation in the search efforts.
