David Beckham has gone against Brooklyn’s wishes in his recent Instagram post. Despite Brooklyn, who is 27 years old, advising his parents not to mention him on social media, the former soccer star extended birthday wishes to his eldest son.

In the post, David shared a photo of Brooklyn as a baby with himself and Victoria during a holiday at a swimming pool, captioning it with, “27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you x.”

This action follows Brooklyn sending a legal letter to his parents last summer. The letter instructed Sir and Lady Beckham to communicate only through lawyers and not to tag or mention him on social media.

Despite the legal notice, David and Victoria continued engaging with Brooklyn’s social media posts, causing him distress. Reports suggest Brooklyn felt his privacy request was being disregarded by his parents.

The situation escalated after Brooklyn’s public statement on Instagram, where he accused his family of trying to disrupt his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz, and declared his intention not to reconcile with them. Subsequently, Brooklyn blocked his immediate family on Instagram within 48 hours, a move confirmed by his brother, Cruz.

The family tension continued as Brooklyn declined to support his youngest brother after his debut gig in London recently. Allegedly taking inspiration from Prince Harry, Brooklyn is said to be working on a tell-all book to share his perspective on growing up in a renowned family. He aims to express his emotions and experiences of living under constant public scrutiny in what he describes as a “fishbowl.”
