Counter terror police are assisting detectives in the investigation of a car incident in Derby city center that resulted in seven people sustaining serious injuries. The suspect, a 36-year-old man originally from India but residing in the UK for several years, was apprehended just seven minutes after the incident on Saturday night.

Authorities expressed gratitude to the public for their swift assistance in apprehending the suspect and aiding the injured individuals. The Derbyshire Police are currently interrogating the suspect on suspicion of attempted murder, as he was believed to have been living in Derby.
