The US Justice Department revealed that Timothy Hudson was charged in connection with the incident. Anna was found deceased under a bed in a room she shared with two other teenagers, including her stepbrother, while onboard the Carnival Horizon ship.

The cause of Anna’s death, determined to be mechanical asphyxia, occurred on November 6. Her father expressed confidence in the justice system to uncover the truth with diligence. Despite the gravity of the charges, Hudson has not been detained and has been under the care of his uncle since his arrest. Anna, a cheerleader at a local high school, was remembered for her vibrant personality at a memorial service.
