Hundreds of Microsoft Teams users encountered difficulties with the platform this morning, particularly facing challenges in accessing video and audio calls. Downdetector data revealed that the main issues reported by users included audio and video quality problems, as well as issues with the app itself. Over 300 individuals reported these problems early in the day.
Some users also noted problems with Microsoft Teams’ online conferencing feature. Despite ongoing reports from users, the number of complaints saw a significant decline. By 10:50 am, 65 users were still experiencing issues related to audio and video quality, along with app functionality.
The data from Downdetector indicated that around 359 users had flagged issues shortly after 10 am. The primary concern among users was the audio quality, accounting for 42% of reports, followed by app usage difficulties at 28%, and video quality issues at 22%.
The disruptions seemed to have begun around 9:30 am, affecting Microsoft Teams users across the UK. Most reports originated from London and Manchester, with users in Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Sheffield, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, and Luton also facing challenges.
By 10:30 am, at least 320 individuals had registered complaints about Microsoft Teams issues on Downdetector.
