Kate Ferdinand has returned to Dubai after leaving the UAE due to Iran missile strikes. Previously, she and her family had to seek shelter in their basement because of drone attacks before opting to go to their vacation home in Portugal.

Following a short stay in London, they traveled to the Maldives for a holiday, which Kate described as a much-needed “nervous system reset.” Rio shared details about the frightening experience they endured, hearing various aircraft noises and bombs without knowing the specifics.

Recently, Kate posted a photo of her stepdaughter Tia celebrating her 15th birthday in Dubai. In the picture, Tia is holding a bouquet of flowers and balloons with the iconic Burj Al Arab in the background. Kate, who tied the knot with Rio in 2019, expressed her deep affection for Tia in the post.

Rebecca Ellison, Tia’s mother, passed away in 2015 from breast cancer. Kate is also a stepmother to Lorenz and Tate, while she and Rio have two young children together. While Lorenz and Tate stayed in the UK, Kate and Rio now reside in the Middle East with Tia and their children.

In August, they made a significant decision to move, with Kate expressing excitement, nervousness, and a desire for fresh beginnings. Despite the excitement, Kate later revealed missing the UK and feeling emotional being apart from her older children pursuing their football careers.

Kate previously acknowledged the challenges of being a stepmother, mentioning occasional conflicts with Tia but emphasizing the importance of making time for each other. She described their relationship dynamics and emotional fluctuations, highlighting the complexities of blended family life.
