“Amanda Knox’s UK Documentary Screening Stalled”

Published on

Amanda Knox had to alter her UK plans at the last minute due to a significant setback. The 38-year-old, known for her involvement in the case of Meredith Kercher’s death, arrived in London to promote her latest documentary. However, her promotional activities faced a hurdle when it was discovered that the film lacked a British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) certification, preventing it from being publicly screened. Consequently, the scheduled screening for that evening was called off.

In place of the screening, Amanda and her husband Christopher, who directed the documentary, will engage with the audience by discussing the film and participating in a question-and-answer session, followed by a book signing session.

Expressing her anticipation for the London trip, Amanda shared her excitement on social media about the sold-out documentary screenings she was hosting. Her documentary titled “Mouth of the Wolf” chronicles her return to Perugia, Italy, where Meredith was tragically murdered in 2007. Notably, the film includes original songs performed by Amanda.

Critics have criticized Amanda for allegedly capitalizing on Meredith’s murder following her acquittal. Francesco Maresca, the legal representative of the Kercher family, voiced his disapproval, stating that Amanda continuously engages in media ventures to profit from her wrongful conviction, causing further distress to the family.

Having spent nearly four years incarcerated from 2007 to 2011 before being exonerated in 2015, Amanda has since maintained a high profile. She has authored two books, participated in a Netflix documentary, launched a true crime podcast, performed as a stand-up comedian, and served as an executive producer on a Hulu series.
