“Born Clothing Closing All Irish Stores, 70% Off Sale”

Published on

Irish retail chain Born Clothing is closing all its stores in Ireland. The brand, which once had over 20 branches nationwide including three in Cork, will be shutting down its operations. The three Cork locations, situated at Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre, Wilton Shopping Centre, and Douglas Village Shopping Centre, offered a variety of brands and occasion wear.

Currently, there are 15 Born Clothing outlets still open across the country. These stores will kick off their closing-down sale this week, providing discounts of up to 70%. In a statement on their Instagram page, Born Clothing expressed gratitude to their customers for their support over the past 16 years.

The retailer also acknowledged the dedication of its staff, thanking them for their commitment to the business. The closing-down sale, starting on April 23, will see prices slashed by up to 70% across all items. Provisional liquidators have been appointed to the companies operating Born Clothing due to sustained losses in recent years.

A notice on the Born Clothing website confirms the provisional liquidation status, indicating that gift vouchers will not be honored. Customers who make purchases during the liquidation sale will have a 30-day window for refunds or exchanges, provided they present a valid receipt. Claims for refunds or returns will be treated as unsecured claims in the liquidation process.

Customers are advised to contact bornclothing@bdo.ie for any claim submissions or refund inquiries. The liquidation sale policy allows for a 30-day refund or return in-store, with proper documentation. Any additional statutory rights will remain unaffected. If a store has closed, customers can contact bornclothing@bdo.ie for further assistance on obtaining a refund.
