Rio Ferdinand Lists £10.5M Mansion Amid Dubai Move

Published on

Rio Ferdinand has listed his mansion in Farnborough Park, Kent for sale at £10.5 million, indicating a permanent move away from the UK. In August 2025, Rio, along with his wife Kate and their children, relocated to Dubai for what he described as a new chapter in their lives. Despite facing unsettling drone attacks due to the Iran War, the family seems settled in their new home.

The luxurious property, spanning 12,500 square feet and surrounded by 20 acres of land, features seven bedrooms, a gym, two dressing rooms, a triple garage, a studio, and an office. Positioned in the exclusive Farnborough Park gated community, the estate is described by agents as a prestigious family residence.

Originally purchased for £2.7 million in 2008, the property’s value has soared to over £10 million. This decision to sell comes after Rio criticized tax increases in the UK, hinting at his relocation to Dubai for a more favorable environment. In Dubai, Rio and his family feel appreciated and content, residing in a spacious home in the Al Barari neighborhood.

Despite facing challenges like sheltering in their basement during drone attacks earlier this year, Rio emphasized the positive aspects of their new life in Dubai. The family’s move seems to be a permanent one, with no plans to return to the UK anytime soon.
