Beloved Comedy Writer Steve Burge Dies at 47

A talented writer known for his work on popular comedy shows on BBC, Steve Burge, has passed away at the age of 47, as confirmed by his representatives. Steve had contributed to well-loved programs like Would I Lie To You?, Brassic, and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, in addition to creating content for other shows.

United Agents, Steve’s representatives, expressed deep sorrow at his sudden death, highlighting his creativity and skill in his recent sketch, The Bank Job for Comic Relief. Fans also expressed their condolences, mourning the loss of the gifted writer.

No details regarding the cause of Steve’s death were disclosed. Born in Wickford, Essex, in September 1978, he passed away on April 24. His final work, The Bank Job for Comic Relief, featured This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary in a comedic bank robbery scenario, alongside other well-known personalities.
