“Royal Couple Celebrates 15th Anniversary at Education Charity”

Prince William and Princess Kate commemorated their 15th wedding anniversary by visiting IntoUniversity, an education charity that was a beneficiary of Their Royal Highnesses’ Royal Wedding Gift Fund in 2011. Accompanied by a group of Year 5 students from Victory Primary School, the royal couple participated in the charity’s educational activities and workshops at the Walworth site.

IntoUniversity, a charity dedicated to assisting underprivileged youth in realizing their potential, was selected as one of the 26 charities to receive donations from Their Royal Highnesses’ Royal Wedding Gift Fund in 2011, significantly aiding the charity’s growth.

Established to enable well-wishers to contribute to selected charities in lieu of wedding gifts, the Gift Fund garnered over ÂŁ1 million for causes supported by the royal couple. Today, William and Kate engaged with the students in a workshop aimed at fostering their academic aspirations, skills development, and overall success both in school and in the future.

The workshop, known as ‘FOCUS Days,’ was tailored to introduce students to university life and stimulate interest in prospective academic pursuits. The session included activities like exploring Astronomy, teamwork challenges, and a creative task centered on space living.

Rachel Carr, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of IntoUniversity, expressed gratitude for the royal couple’s visit, acknowledging the crucial support provided by the Royal Wedding Gift Fund 15 years ago. The visit was a momentous occasion for the charity and the young participants, showcasing the enduring impact of the Fund on countless lives.

Following their visit, sources reported that Prince William and Princess Kate dined at The Goring in London, where Kate had stayed the night before their wedding in 2011. The couple also marked their anniversary by sharing a new family picture on social media, capturing a relaxed moment during their holiday in Cornwall.

Having first met over two decades ago at the University of St Andrews, the royal couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in 2011, delighting spectators with a balcony kiss at Buckingham Palace.
