Meghan Markle recently shared a heartwarming video where she revealed Princess Lilibet’s accent while they were gathering chicken eggs together. The adorable moment was captured in an Instagram story posted on Meghan’s social media account, featuring her and her 4-year-old daughter inside their chicken coop with LA-based chocolatier Jonathan Grahm.
During the video, Meghan introduced the chocolatier to the chickens, mentioning the names Hill and Jill, and Lilibet’s American accent could be heard in the background. Lilibet, whose face was not shown, excitedly informed her mom about collecting a “grey” egg in her distinct Californian accent, to which Meghan lovingly responded, “Thanks, sweetheart.”
Although Lilibet’s face was not visible in the video, her bright pink dress could be seen, evoking comments from fans who noticed her fondness for the color pink. It also became apparent that both Lilibet and her brother Archie now exhibit noticeable American accents.
The Sussex family relocated to California in 2020 after stepping back from the Royal Family. Meghan has previously shared glimpses of their family life on Instagram, including videos featuring Archie and Lilibet.
This heartwarming video provided a pleasant update following Meghan and Harry’s recent trip to Australia, where they engaged in various activities in Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra. Meghan expressed her admiration for Australia and its people, emphasizing her fascination with Indigenous culture in an interview with Women’s Weekly.
She also discussed her fashion choices during the trip, highlighting her preference for showcasing local Australian designers to celebrate their craftsmanship. Despite receiving some criticism during the trip, particularly regarding her outfit choice at the Bondi Beach event, Meghan defended her decision to support Australian designers during her visit.
