Dolly Parton has caused worry by canceling her Las Vegas residency due to health issues, raising concerns among her fans about her well-being. This isn’t the first time in recent months that the iconic Country singer has sparked speculation about her health.
Initially scheduled for December 2025, the 80-year-old postponed her Vegas residency to September this year. However, she recently announced the cancellation of all upcoming dates, citing health concerns. While not disclosing specifics about her condition, Dolly reassured fans that she was responding positively to treatment and medication prescribed by her doctors. She mentioned needing time off to recover and regain her strength to perform at her usual level.
In an Instagram video, Dolly shared, “I’m responding well to meds and treatments, and I’m improving every day.” She humorously mentioned the challenges of performing while feeling dizzy, attributing it to the side effects of her medication.
Despite facing health issues, Dolly remains optimistic about her projects, including opening a museum and hotel in Nashville and preparing for a Broadway musical debut in New York later this year. Notably, she missed Disney’s The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special due to health concerns and conflicting schedules but continued to support her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, behind the scenes.
Following concerns raised by her sister about her health, Dolly’s management clarified that she was primarily dealing with kidney stones and required a procedure to address them. In a video response, Dolly light-heartedly dismissed rumors of her declining health, affirming her determination to continue working and thanking fans for their support.
Acknowledging the impact of neglecting self-care after her husband’s passing, Dolly emphasized the importance of her fans’ prayers during her recovery. Despite facing setbacks, including missing events due to health issues, Dolly remains resilient and focused on her well-being and upcoming projects.
