The Weasley Family Reunion at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London

Stars from the Harry Potter franchise who portrayed members of the Weasley family came together at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London to mark 25 years since the debut of the first film. James and Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, and Mark Williams, known for playing Fred, George, Ginny, and Arthur Weasley, respectively, returned to the iconic film sets where they first brought the magical family to life in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001.

Oliver, aged 40, expressed his delight at reuniting with Bonnie and Mark on set, describing the experience as a nostalgic time warp where it felt like no time had passed since they were last together. During their reunion, the Weasley cast members revisited key sets such as The Burrow and Platform 9 ¾, reminiscing on their fondest filmmaking memories. The gathering also marked the launch of a special summer exhibit titled “First Year At Hogwarts – Where The Filmmaking Magic Began” at the studios in Watford. This exhibit offers fans the opportunity to relive iconic film moments on authentic sets.

The exhibition will be open to visitors at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter for a four-month period starting from May 7. Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone, which set records for its box office success, was the highest-grossing film of 2001, earning over $974 million worldwide during its initial release and eventually surpassing the $1 billion mark in total revenue.

Mark Williams, James and Oliver Phelps, and Bonnie Wright grace Warner Bros. Studio Tour London with their presence. Fans were surveyed on their favorite scenes from the first Harry Potter film, with the moment of Harry meeting the Weasleys on his way to Platform 9 ¾ ranking as the third most cherished scene on average.

Reflecting on the reunion, Mark Williams expressed his love for returning to the wizarding world and praised the new summer feature, highlighting the significant role of the design department in the filmmaking process. The summer feature is a delightful addition that rekindled memories of their time working on The Harry Potter film series.

Highlighted as a must-visit spot on Diagon Alley for aspiring wizard pranksters, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London promises an enchanting experience for fans and visitors alike. Additionally, fans voted on their top ten favorite scenes from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, with iconic moments such as the arrival of Hogwarts letters at Privet Drive and Harry’s encounter with the Weasleys standing out among the most beloved scenes.
