A young British traveler is currently receiving intensive care treatment after a fall from a hotel in Ibiza. The 24-year-old was taken to Can Misses hospital late at night following the incident in the vibrant San Antonio party destination. Medical sources have confirmed that the individual sustained several severe injuries.
According to reports, the individual is in intensive care and in a stable but serious condition due to the multiple traumatic injuries. The hotel where the incident took place has not been disclosed, and authorities, including the Civil Guard, are conducting an investigation, although specific details are limited.
An informed source involved in the ongoing inquiry stated that it is premature to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Police are actively working to uncover more information.
This incident is believed to be the first of its nature involving a British tourist in Ibiza this year. In a similar event in August last year, a 22-year-old British tourist was seriously hurt after falling from the third floor of a hotel in San Antonio.
The Marco Polo Hotel in the same party area gained notoriety last June following a publicized altercation involving English footballer Kian Harratt. San Antonio drew attention last summer due to a series of tragic incidents involving tourist fatalities from falls in hotels.
One such incident involved Dundee-born ice hockey player Gary Kelly, 19, who tragically passed away at the four-star Ibiza Rocks Hotel after falling from a third-floor balcony in what authorities described as accidental. Another unfortunate event occurred on July 7 last year when Ewan Thomson, 26, from Aberdeen, lost his life in a fall at the same hotel, with his sister expressing dissatisfaction with the hotel’s response to the tragedy.
