Strictly Come Dancing victor Dianne Buswell shared a heartfelt update from her home before taking on the role of hosting the BAFTAs. She took to her YouTube channel, boasting a following of 298,000 subscribers, to showcase a moment in her young son Bowden’s room.
Bowden, the child she shares with her spouse Joe Sugg, 34, whom she crossed paths with on Strictly in 2018, arrived in March. In a video snippet, she disclosed that she was sorting through Bowden’s wardrobe to gather clothes that no longer fit him for donation to a shelter.
Expressing how swiftly Bowden is outgrowing his attire, Dianne reflected on warnings she received about the rapid growth of babies and how newborn clothes become obsolete within weeks. Consequently, she decided to contribute the outgrown clothes to those in need at a shelter nearby.
Delving further into Bowden’s closet, she stumbled upon the garments he wore home from the hospital. Reflecting on the sentimental value of these tiny outfits and the journey they symbolize, she remarked on how they no longer fit him, particularly due to his growing legs, and set them aside in a special collection.
Aside from her discussions about Bowden on her YouTube platform, Dianne has also shared glimpses of her life on Instagram, chronicling her experiences. Recently, she celebrated her first birthday as a mother, marking the first instance in over a decade that she could spend her special day with her parents.
In an Instagram post commemorating the occasion, she expressed gratitude for the magical day spent with her loved ones and the efforts of Joe in making it extra special. She also extended her thanks to well-wishers who sent their greetings, acknowledging the significance of their gestures.
The BAFTAs are scheduled to be broadcast on BBC One today at 7pm.
