A young boy, Leo Timney-Peers, tragically passed away after collapsing in his mother’s arms while en route to a walk-in center in St Helens. Leo had been unwell earlier in the day and suddenly deteriorated during their walk along Parr Street. Despite his mother’s efforts to perform CPR, Leo could not be revived. Good Samaritans assisted in the resuscitation attempts before Leo was rushed to Whiston Hospital, where he later succumbed.

Leo’s mother, Keeley Timney, described him as a vibrant and kind-hearted child who brightened everyone’s day with his infectious smile. A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to support the family in covering Leo’s funeral expenses as they await answers regarding the cause of his untimely death.

Expressing her devastation, Keeley emphasized Leo’s perfect nature and the outpouring of support from strangers who tried to help in any way they could. She fondly remembered Leo as a loving and cheerful boy who brought joy to those around him every day.

In remembrance of Leo, Broad Oak Primary School, where he was a student, closed its doors as a mark of respect for the family and the entire school community. Merseyside Police confirmed the incident and mentioned that a post-mortem examination would be conducted to determine the cause of Leo’s passing.

The community mourns the loss of a beloved child, and efforts are underway to give Leo a fitting farewell that honors his memory and the joy he brought to everyone he encountered.
