Amanda Holden recently shared that she has preserved the dress she wore on her wedding day to Les Dennis, even after 23 years since their divorce. The Britain’s Got Talent judge was married to the presenter for eight years, from 1995 to 2003, despite challenges that led to their separation.
In a conversation about wedding attire on the Heart Radio Breakfast Show, Amanda mentioned that she still owns both wedding dresses. She humorously explained that the dress from her marriage to Les is carefully stored in a proper wrapper because it holds sentimental value for her.
The couple tied the knot when Amanda was 23, with Les being 17 years her senior, at St Andrew’s Church in Bournemouth, Dorset. Amanda looked stunning in a traditional princess-style gown with a square neckline, corset bodice, veil, and tiara, complemented by an elegant beehive updo.
Subsequently, Amanda married her current husband, Chris Hughes, in Somerset five years later. She wore a champagne-colored Elie Saab gown with lace overlay, sequin detailing, and a low back, paired with an elegant bun and veil. Amanda confessed that she has carefully preserved this dress as well, despite wearing it publicly twice post-wedding.
During the lockdown, Amanda amused her followers by wearing her wedding dress from her marriage to Chris while mowing the lawn for a TikTok video. She shared that the dress still fit perfectly without any grass stains, adding a touch of humor to her ever-evolving relationship with Chris.
Amanda often speaks fondly of her marriage to Chris, highlighting humor and enduring attraction as key factors in maintaining their strong bond. Reflecting on their relationship during a promotional interview for her show Cheat: Unfinished Business with Paul C Brunson, she expressed gratitude for the stability and simplicity of her partnership with Chris, emphasizing the freshness and evolution of their 22-year marriage.
