In addition to her financial struggles, Andrea’s health took a severe hit as she battled Covid, kidney failure, pneumonia, and eventually sepsis. The situation was dire, with Kate Thornton highlighting the severity of Andrea’s condition and the critical role of timely medical intervention.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Andrea revealed that doctors informed her husband that waiting another 24 hours could have been fatal. Despite feeling extremely unwell in the hospital, Andrea maintained a positive and determined attitude towards her recovery.

Recent reports revealed that Denise Welch, a fellow Loose Women star and close friend of Andrea, was unaware of the extent of Andrea’s financial troubles. Andrea and Denise had formed a strong bond during their time working together and remained in touch even after Andrea’s departure.

Andrea disclosed that she and her husband took drastic measures to address their debt, including selling their home, engagement rings, and cashing out her pension. She also candidly discussed her financial struggles in her book, Shameless.
