Apple’s most recent iPhone model has dropped to its lowest price ever in anticipation of the unveiling of a new addition to its smartphone collection. Sky Mobile is offering the iPhone 16e at the discounted price of £18.
The tech giant Apple has announced a live-stream event scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, where it is anticipated to introduce the highly awaited iPhone 17. Apple CEO Tim Cook teased the event with a message on social media, hinting at an exciting #AppleEvent.
While specific details remain confidential, viewers tuning into the stream can look forward to the debut of the updated iPhone 17 Pro and the speculated iPhone 17 Air. The new addition is expected to follow the trend of Apple’s other “Air” products, likely featuring a slimmer and more compact design.
As tech enthusiasts await the launch of the new Apple devices, Sky Mobile’s discounted offer on the current iPhone model provides even greater affordability. Previously priced at £19 when spread over time, the £18 deal may not seem significantly cheaper upfront but results in a total saving of £48 over the plan’s duration.
The iPhone 16e package includes 100MB of data as standard, with options for larger data allowances available at reduced rates, such as 50GB for £12 and unlimited data for £20. Sky Mobile’s smartphone contracts typically span 36 months, allowing customers to upgrade to a new phone from 24 months onwards at no extra charge.
Sky is not the only retailer reducing prices ahead of the Apple event; Amazon has also lowered the price of the iPhone 16e from £599 to £544 for those opting to purchase outright. This deal surpasses Apple’s own pricing of £599 for the same model.
Introduced in February, the iPhone 16e is positioned as a more budget-friendly variant of the standard iPhone 16, offering robust capabilities powered by Apple’s latest A18 chip. The device features a 6.1” Super Retina XDR display and integrates AI functionalities through Apple Intelligence, including image object removal and ChatGPT writing tools.
