Staff at a steak restaurant reportedly left a customer’s unconscious body outside after he collapsed at a table, according to authorities. The incident involved Jessie Mobley Jr, 34, who fainted at the restaurant following his meal. Allegedly, employees mistakenly assumed he was homeless and moved him and his belongings outside a nearby hair and beauty college without contacting the police.

The next day, a student discovered Mr. Mobley’s body near the college in Houston, Texas. Authorities identified him, allowing his father, Jessie Mobley, Sr., and step-mother, Renee Mobley, to view him one last time. Renee described the distressing sight, noting that Mr. Mobley had turned purple and showed signs of decay.

Local media reported that ants were found on Mr. Mobley’s ears, and part of his body had turned purple. The exact cause of his death remains undetermined.

Renee expressed regret that no one sought assistance for Mr. Mobley instead of leaving him outside. She emphasized the importance of not making assumptions when someone needs help.

The Houston Police Department stated that once the cause of death is established as natural, the investigation will close. The timeline for concluding the probe remains unclear, but Mr. Mobley passed away on August 7.

Charlene Fogg-Drake, Mr. Mobley’s aunt, questioned why 911 was not called and emphasized the need for accountability in such situations. She has placed tributes outside the steak restaurant in memory of Mr. Mobley, though they were reportedly removed.

Tragically, Mr. Mobley’s parents have now lost three children within 13 years. Renee reflected on the challenges of coping with the loss of a child and remembered Mr. Mobley as a lively individual who faced numerous struggles.

In a separate incident, a father tragically died in front of his four young children after a sand dune collapsed on him at Muriwai Beach in New Zealand. Kane, 28, was buried headfirst and, despite efforts to rescue him, he was declared deceased at the hospital. Tributes poured in for Kane, who had a baby on the way that he will never meet.
