Amid the ongoing cost of living challenges in the UK, many Brits are carefully selecting restaurants for their dining experiences to ensure they get value for their money. Recently, I decided to explore ASK Italian’s new spring menu. ASK Italian has introduced a range of fresh and bold dishes inspired by Italian culinary traditions, such as the Truffle Honey Prosciutto Pizza A Mano. In addition, their updated drinks menu now boasts creative cocktails like the Pepperoni Negroni, Hot Honey Margarita, and Cherry Limoncello Meringue Cocktail.
Customers can now enjoy three sides for £12 along with a special offer of a complimentary Spritz for each visit in May by signing up for the ASK Perks Rewards App. Delving into the new menu, I opted for the Bruschetta Pizzetta as a starter, featuring stone-baked dough topped with slow-roasted tomatoes, rocket, ricotta salata, and balsamic glaze.
The manager surprised us with Crispy Pepperoni nibbles before our starter. Although unsure at first, these nibbles turned out to be irresistibly addictive. For the main course, I savored the Pollo Roquito pizza, which boasted flavors of roast chicken breast, Roquito pepper pearls, and balsamic red onions on a tomato and mozzarella base.
The Sea Bass alla Mediterranea was another main course we tried, featuring oven-baked Sea Bass with slow-roasted tomatoes, black olives, and capers served on a bed of roasted potatoes, mushrooms, and spinach in a buttery white wine sauce. The dish impressed with its perfectly cooked fish and harmonious blend of flavors.
Among the tempting sides offered, the Hot Honey Luganica Sausages stole the show with their delightful smoked chilli jelly accompaniment. The Bolognese Bites and Seasoned Roast Potatoes also pleased the palate with their flavors and textures.
For dessert, we indulged in the Chocostachio Bomb, a chocolate and pistachio mousse encased in Italian meringue. The dessert was a light and satisfying end to the meal. The Hugo Spritz cocktail, featuring elderflower, Prosecco, soda, and mint, was a refreshing choice that complemented the meal perfectly.
Overall, the new menu at ASK Italian offers a variety of innovative and fresh options for spring and summer dining. The three sides for £12 deal is a standout offer, and the restaurant’s cocktail and mocktail selection is impressive. ASK Italian’s quality pizza and pasta dishes place it among the top choices for Italian cuisine on the High Street. The attentive service further enhanced the dining experience, making it a place I look forward to revisiting with friends.
