A widespread search is underway in Germany following the abduction of a baby from his stroller during the night. Authorities have mobilized helicopters and drones to locate the missing three-month-old infant, but have not yet found any significant leads. The child disappeared around 11:30 pm in Renningen, located in southwest Germany, after being briefly left unattended by his parents, who promptly notified the police.

Law enforcement suspects that an unidentified individual removed the baby from the stroller and took him. An extensive search operation involving drones, helicopters, firefighters, and 40 rescue dogs is currently in progress. Additionally, cadaver dogs, trained to detect decomposing bodies, are aiding in the search efforts.

Given the high temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius in Germany, authorities expressed concerns about the infant’s well-being in such conditions. Despite the ongoing search, authorities have not yet identified any promising leads but are systematically expanding their search from the scene of the incident outward.

The reported kidnapping occurred near the mother’s residence in Renningen, Baden-Württemberg. The mayor of Renningen, Melanie Hettmer, expressed deep worry and hoped for the safe return of the child. Local residents were cautioned against organizing search parties on social media, as it could interfere with the official police investigation. The Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters issued a plea on Facebook urging the public to avoid conducting independent search operations.
