The Baggs family, formerly popular fixtures on Gogglebox, made their mark on the Channel 4 show in 2020. Comprising Lisa, Terry, Joe, and George from Essex, they quickly won over fans but bid farewell to the program in 2022 after a successful two-year run.
Post-Gogglebox, the Baggs family experienced a mix of events, including Joe’s rise to social media stardom and television appearances on ITV’s Lorraine and This Morning. Leveraging his Gogglebox platform, Joe amassed a significant following on TikTok, boasting 2.2 million followers and 203.9 million likes, leading to lucrative brand partnerships with major companies like Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, Burger King, and Fanta. Additionally, Joe boasts 386k Instagram followers and recently hosted a new Britain’s Got Talent spin-off show.
Meanwhile, George, Joe’s brother, also flourished online with 447k Instagram followers and 1.7 million TikTok followers. Their family-centric content often features their parents. Together, they launched the podcast “Not My Bagg” in 2023, with notable guests like Kerry Katona, Coleen Nolan, and Melanie C.
In 2023, George, then 19, faced criticism for breaching advertising regulations by promoting vapes while underage on TikTok. Following an investigation by the Advertising Standards Authority, he was prohibited from further endorsements and cautioned against using under-25s to advertise e-cigarettes.
Recently, Lisa paid tribute to their late family dog, Dolly, on the second anniversary of her passing. The heartfelt Instagram post expressed enduring love for the beloved pet, with son George also sharing his sorrow in the comments.
Gogglebox continues to air on Channel 4, providing viewers with engaging content.
