The man has refuted the allegations. Sources indicate that the former BBC presenter was taken aback upon learning about the investigation into the alleged assault. He was questioned by the Metropolitan Police last month. The police confirmed that they were looking into a report of sexual assault against a woman, specifying that it occurred in Stratford between September 2005 and December 2006.
According to the police statement, “On Thursday, 14 May, a man was interviewed under caution. We are in contact with the woman, providing her with ongoing support. The investigation is still active, and no arrests have been made at this point.”
A source speaking to The Sun described the situation as “shocking” for the presenter, who was surprised by the allegations. However, he cooperated with the authorities and attended the interview as requested. The alleged victim now resides outside London, and the case was transferred to the Metropolitan Police from another jurisdiction, causing some delays.
The claims are linked to the individual’s involvement in the show, where the woman is believed to have worked alongside him or participated as a contestant. Law enforcement officials are treating her complaint with utmost seriousness.
