Brooklyn Beckham caused a stir this week with a forceful online rebuke directed at his well-known parents. In a direct six-page Instagram post, the 26-year-old accused David and Victoria Beckham of exerting excessive control over him throughout his life, disrupting his wedding, and prioritizing the “Brand Beckham” image over his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz, 31.
Adding to his grievances, Brooklyn alleged that his parents made continuous efforts to sabotage his relationship with Nicola leading up to their wedding. He also claimed that despite Nicola’s excitement, his mother, a renowned fashion designer, abruptly backed out of creating Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute.
Brooklyn further accused his mother, Victoria, 51, of embarrassing him during their wedding by dancing inappropriately during their first dance in April 2022 in Palm Beach, Florida. The extravagant ceremony was attended by 500 guests, including numerous celebrities.
Following the tumultuous original wedding, Brooklyn and Nicola opted for a more intimate vow renewal ceremony in August 2025 at Nicola’s family estate in Westchester, New York, with less than 20 guests. Nicola’s father officiated the ceremony, and she wore a modified version of her mother’s 1985 wedding gown.
Notably absent from the vow renewal were David and Victoria, as well as Brooklyn’s siblings Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14. The couple emphasized that the renewal was a symbol of their enduring love and a cherished moment together.
In an effort to shift the focus away from speculation and drama surrounding their relationship, Brooklyn and Nicola posted photos from the ceremony with the caption “Only love,” signaling their commitment to each other and their desire for privacy.
Reports have surfaced that Victoria has been deeply affected by Brooklyn’s statement, with insiders revealing her shock and concern about the potential impact on the Beckham brand. Despite attributing Brooklyn’s actions to Nicola’s influence, both David and Victoria are reportedly troubled by the situation and fear further revelations from their son.
