“Brown Urges Fresh Police Interview of Prince Andrew”

Published on

Gordon Brown calls for a fresh police interview with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor concerning his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and the alleged mismanagement of public funds during his tenure as the UK’s trade envoy. The veteran Labour figure disclosed that the former Prince faced scrutiny from a government official during Brown’s premiership over excessive expenses incurred from 2001 to 2011.

In an interview with the New Statesman magazine, Brown emphasized the importance of authorities questioning all individuals involved in overseeing Mountbatten-Windsor’s official travels while he held the trade envoy position. Brown urged for a thorough investigation into the potential misuse of public funds, particularly focusing on incidents where women purportedly brought to him at various locations may have been trafficked by Epstein.

During his time as Prime Minister, Brown revealed that he rejected a proposal from Mountbatten-Windsor to have the royal family establish its own aircraft fleet at the taxpayers’ expense, a matter he brought to the attention of the late Queen. Brown also suggested expanding the police inquiry into Prince Andrew’s association with Epstein to include allegations of sexual misconduct.

Brown stressed the need for a comprehensive investigation into possible breaches of official secrets and the handling of public funds. He urged the authorities to conduct interviews and gather records from government departments responsible for overseeing Mountbatten-Windsor’s trips as the UK trade envoy, raising concerns about the use of public resources for personal purposes.

The former Labour leader highlighted the significance of holding individuals accountable for any involvement in assisting Epstein and ensuring that justice is served for the victims of sexual abuse. Brown emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the pursuit of truth and justice, calling for thorough investigations and parliamentary scrutiny into the handling of public funds related to Mountbatten-Windsor’s activities.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing, and his representatives have been approached for comment on the matter.
