There have been numerous real-life relationships formed among cast members of the long-standing TV show Coronation Street, including actress Nicola Thorp and her co-star.

Nicola entered the popular ITV soap opera in 2017, portraying the character Nicola Rubinstein, daughter of the villainous Pat Phelan. Her character quickly became entangled in gripping storylines.

In 2018, Nicola decided to depart from the soap opera, with her final scenes airing the following year. Since leaving Coronation Street, Nicola has transitioned into a prominent figure in broadcasting, journalism, and activism, frequently making appearances on ITV’s This Morning.

During her time on the show, Nicola began dating actor Charlie de Melo, who portrayed solicitor Imran Habeeb from 2017 to 2022 until his character met a tragic end. The couple transitioned from close friends to romantic partners over a decade.
