Alison King, known for her role as Carla Connor on the popular British soap opera Coronation Street, has had a tumultuous romantic life both on and off-screen.

Joining the ITV series in 2006, Alison’s character, Carla, has been involved in numerous dramatic storylines, including passionate affairs and battles with alcohol addiction.

Recently, Carla’s character tied the knot with Lisa Swain, portrayed by Vicky Myers, after their on-screen romance captivated viewers. This on-screen relationship has become a fan favorite, as reported by the Daily Star.

Beyond her soap opera life, Alison has experienced her own share of heartaches. Notably, she was in a five-year relationship with former Coronation Street actor Philip Middlemiss, who played Des Barnes. The couple met in 1995 and parted ways in 2000 due to distance challenges.

Alison was also engaged to Adam Huckett, a sound technician from Coronation Street, with whom she shares a daughter named Daisy. Despite their engagement, they separated in 2012.
