Mikey North, a long-standing member of the cast of the popular show “Coronation Street,” is married to actress Rachael Isherwood, who has also appeared on the big screen. Mikey first appeared on the ITV soap opera in 2008 as Gary Windass, a character involved in various significant plotlines, from romantic entanglements to struggles with PTSD.
Recently, Gary has been entangled in a murder investigation, suspected of being involved in Theo Silverton’s death. Surprisingly, it was revealed that Sarah Platt, Gary’s former flame, was the actual killer, with Gary helping to conceal the crime.
Outside of the soap opera, Mikey leads a more serene life with his wife and two children. Mikey and Rachael tied the knot in 2016 after meeting three years prior. They share two children, Archie and Eliza. Rachael, a fitness instructor, had a notable role in the film “Captain America: The First Avenger.”
Their journey into parenthood was not without challenges, as Rachael faced complications during childbirth, requiring medical intervention. Despite the difficulties, baby Archie was born healthy, bringing joy to the couple. Mikey proposed to Rachael during a romantic trip to the Lake District in 2015, with the couple exchanging vows the following year in a heartfelt ceremony attended by friends and colleagues from “Coronation Street.”
“Coronation Street” airs on ITV1 and ITVX from Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm.
