Dollyfest, a music festival initially planned to celebrate Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday with her as the main performer, has been repurposed into a tribute to the legendary singer’s life. The event, postponed due to health concerns, is now scheduled for two weekends in 2027 in Nashville and London, promising a star-studded lineup to honor the iconic “Queen of Country.”

Following Dolly Parton’s recent passing at 80, fans mourn the loss of the prolific songwriter known for hits like “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “9 to 5.” Parton’s estate revealed plans for Dollyfest to embody the joy she intended to share with the world.

Organizer Danny Nozell expressed the festival’s authenticity and appeal to artists and fans worldwide, emphasizing the need for time to mourn and prepare for the event. While specific details about Dollyfest are scarce, the essence of Parton’s charisma and legacy will be central to the celebration.

Furthermore, Dollywood, the theme park founded by Parton in 1986, is also commemorating the singer’s legacy with special additions. Guests visiting in 2027 can share personal memories and reflections on Parton’s influence at designated kiosks, with the park set to integrate these testimonials into an exhibit honoring the “Dreamer in Chief.”

Additionally, enhancements to Dollywood include a new waterfall feature near the Robert F. Thomas Chapel and a themed attraction inspired by Parton’s Imagination Library initiative. The park’s president, Eugene Naughton, mentioned plans for a memorial wall outside the park, allowing visitors ample time to pay their respects.

In Sevierville, Tennessee, Parton’s hometown, a project titled “In Dolly’s Footsteps” will launch, featuring walking-tour markers highlighting significant locations in Parton’s life story. These initiatives underscore the enduring impact of Dolly Parton’s legacy on her fans and communities worldwide.
