Passengers had to evacuate a bus when it caught fire during its journey, prompting the arrival of two fire engines to put out the flames.

Dramatic video footage captured the rear of the double-decker bus ablaze in north-west London, with stranded passengers observing in shock as thick smoke billowed from the upper deck of the vehicle. Responding swiftly, two fire engines raced to the location to extinguish the fire, ensuring all passengers were safely evacuated before any harm could befall them.

An investigation is currently in progress to ascertain the cause of the fire, which ignited around 7 pm on Sunday, leading the bus to halt on Kilburn Lane.

The London Fire Brigade verified that no injuries were reported in connection with the incident. The road was closed as firefighters hurried to the scene at 7:13 pm, successfully extinguishing the fire by 7:42 pm.

A spokesperson from the London Fire Brigade stated, “We received a call yesterday (15 February) regarding a double-decker bus on fire on Kilburn Lane, W8. Upon arrival, the bus had already been evacuated safely, with no injuries reported. Two fire engines responded to the incident.”
