Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been reported to law enforcement following an accusation by a woman who alleges she was trafficked for sexual purposes involving the ex-prince at a royal residence. In light of the recent release of the Epstein files, a second woman, who was in her twenties at the time, has stepped forward, claiming she was sent to the UK by Epstein.

As per the BBC, the woman’s attorney, Brad Edwards from the US firm Edwards Henderson, stated that the incident occurred at Royal Lodge in Windsor, as reported by the Express. This marks the first instance where an alleged survivor has claimed an incident took place at a royal residence. Campaign group Republic brought the matter to the attention of the authorities, citing that since the allegations date back to 2010, they fall under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. In contrast, the alleged claims by the late Virginia Guiffre in 2001 were not covered by the legislation.

CEO of Republic, Graham Smith, emphasized the importance of reporting the alleged crimes in the UK for formal investigation, stating that Andrew should be answering questions in a London police station rather than testifying in the US Congress. Thames Valley Police acknowledged the reports concerning a woman reportedly taken to an address in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes, as highlighted by the BBC, and indicated that they are evaluating the information as part of their standard procedures.

Thames Valley Police underscored their commitment to taking reports of sexual crimes seriously and urged anyone with relevant information to come forward. They clarified that the allegations in question had not been officially reported to them by either the lawyer or the client at that time.
