A fatal multi-vehicle collision on the M40 in Warwickshire has resulted in the death of a woman and severe injuries to a man. The incident occurred late on Sunday, prompting emergency services to respond quickly, causing traffic congestion between Hockley Heath and Warwick.
The woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS). The critically injured man was swiftly transported to University Hospital Coventry for urgent medical attention. Additionally, two other men received treatment for minor injuries at the crash site.
According to a WMAS spokesperson, upon their arrival, emergency crews discovered the deceased woman. Despite their efforts, she could not be saved. The seriously injured man was promptly attended to and then taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further care under emergency circumstances. The two other men with minor injuries were treated on-site and later discharged.
