More than two decades have passed since the disbandment of S Club Juniors, later renamed S Club 8. Initially formed in 2001 as a support act for S Club 7, the group gained their own fame with hits like “One Step Closer” and “Puppy Love/Sleigh Ride.” Their journey started on the CBBC show S Club Search, where Frankie Sandford (now Bridge), Rochelle Wiseman (now Humes), Daisy Evans, Jay Asforis, Aaron Renfree, Hannah Richings, Stacey McClean, and Calvin Goldspink emerged as household names.
After rebranding as S Club 8 in 2003, the group sadly announced their split in 2004. Following this, the members pursued diverse paths. Rochelle transitioned into presenting, hosting shows like Ninja Warrior UK and The Hit List, in addition to releasing her children’s book and launching her own baby skincare line. She later married Marvin Humes and remains active in the public eye.
Frankie, on the other hand, continued her success in The Saturdays after S Club 8. She ventured into TV panelist roles and even participated in shows like Strictly Come Dancing and I’m A Celebrity. Besides her TV career, she has been open about her mental health struggles and is an ambassador for Mind charity.
Aaron, the oldest S Club 8 member, delved into professional dancing and choreography post-group disbandment. He has worked with renowned artists like Taylor Swift and Take That, alongside making a mark in the West End. Aaron is openly gay and actively supports LGBTQ campaigns.
Jay, now known as Jay Perry, carved a niche in musical theatre, starring in various productions like Motown: The Musical and Hamilton. He openly shares his journey as a gay individual who struggled with his sexuality during his time in S Club 8.
Stacey McClean ventured into a solo music career after S Club 8, auditioning for The X Factor and later performing in G*Mania. She married Fraser Franks, with whom she shares a daughter. However, the couple announced their separation in 2023.
Calvin pursued acting, appearing in TV shows like Life is Wild and William and Kate: Let Love Rule. He also ventured into the music scene, working with emerging artists and releasing his own tracks. Calvin is married to Melissa Callabero and they welcomed their first child in 2020.
Daisy Evans, now married to footballer Jonjo Shelvey, embarked on a music career after S Club 8, joining the group From Above. She now works as a makeup artist and is a mother of three children.
Hannah, the youngest member of S Club 8, left showbiz to establish her own childminding business. She remains close with her former bandmates, serving as a bridesmaid at Stacey’s wedding and later tying the knot with Phil Blackford. They are parents to four children.
