The popular series, The Night Agent, has returned on Netflix with its third season, featuring Gabriel Basso reprising his role as agent Peter Sutherland. The action-packed storyline follows Sutherland on a perilous mission where he encounters various individuals, leading to multiple fatalities.

In the wake of terrorist incidents, Sutherland enlists the assistance of financial journalist Isabel De Leon for an investigative collaboration. The character of Isabel is portrayed by Genesis Rodriguez, a 38-year-old American actress renowned for her roles in Telemundo productions like Prisionera, Dame Chocolate, and Doña Bárbara.

Having kickstarted her career with Telemundo, Genesis Rodriguez is most recognized for her performances as Sarah in Entourage, Jane Walker in Time After Time, Captain Josephina Carrillo in Lioness, and Sloane Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy.

Born in Miami, Florida in 1987, Genesis comes from a family steeped in entertainment. Her mother, Luisa Carolina “Carol” Pérez Rodríguez, is a Cuban model, while her father is the esteemed Venezuelan singer and actor, José Luis Rodríguez, also known as El Puma. Besides his musical success, El Puma has also mentored aspiring talents on various versions of The Voice in Argentina, Peru, and Chile.

Despite his humble beginnings, El Puma rose to fame through his singing and acting endeavors, achieving international acclaim for hits like Dueño de nada and Pavo real. His career saw a resurgence in the US when he joined the cast of the miniseries, Gabriel, tailored for the Hispanic audience.

Apart from being the father of Genesis Rodriguez, El Puma is also the proud dad of actresses Lilibeth and Liliana Rodríguez from his previous marriage to Lila Morillo.
