Environmental activists trespassed into one of the Scottish golf resorts owned by US President Donald Trump this morning to stage a demonstration, ensuring it did not disrupt anyone’s golf schedule. Greenpeace disclosed that three protestors placed six miniature mock wind turbines on the fourth hole green at Trump Turnberry Golf Club in South Ayrshire early Monday. They promptly removed the replica turbines as golfers approached to avoid any interference with their game.

The protesters explained that their action was a direct response to the US president’s public opposition to wind turbines and his support for oil and gas energy. This protest came after Trump’s recent social media post on Truth Social endorsing increased oil and gas extraction in the North Sea, criticizing the lack of drilling and expressing disdain for wind turbines.

According to Greenpeace, a majority of Scots oppose Trump’s advocacy for expanding oil and gas energy production, preferring renewable energy sources instead. Lily-Rose Ellis, a climate campaigner at Greenpeace, criticized Trump’s energy policies, highlighting the benefits of renewable energy in reducing costs, enhancing security, and combating climate change. She emphasized the importance of clean energy independence from volatile international oil markets.
