Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marked their eighth wedding anniversary yesterday, with Meghan sharing 24 photos from their wedding day in 2018. Meghan later took to social media to show how they were celebrating at home.

Meghan captured a moment on her Instagram stories as Harry entered their Montecito home’s kitchen with a cake resembling their wedding cake, complete with four lit candles. The family sang “Happy anniversary to Mama and Papa” to the tune of ‘Happy Birthday’ as they celebrated together.

Off camera, their daughter Lilibet could be heard saying “Blow them!”, leading to Harry and Meghan blowing out the candles and sharing a kiss while Lilibet cheered in the background.

In another video, Meghan showcased the anniversary gift Harry gave her: a statue of two penguins leaning on each other. Meghan was surprised by the gift, and Harry could be heard laughing.

Next to the gift was a stack of photos showing Harry and Meghan dressed as penguins. Meghan explained to her children that they wore penguin outfits at their engagement party because they saw themselves as being “together for life”, before sharing a kiss with her husband.

Meghan also shared a photo of them in penguin onesies and another of them kissing over a lemon and elderflower cake in the kitchen.

At the stroke of midnight in California, the start of their wedding anniversary day, Meghan posted 24 new pictures from their wedding. She divided the images into two posts, one focusing on the ceremony and the other on the reception.

With a caption of “Eight years ago today” and sun and moon emojis, Meghan credited photographer Chris Allerton for the wedding photos. The images from the wedding ceremony, mostly in black and white, captured the couple right after exchanging vows.

The photos included intimate moments of Harry and Meghan at Windsor Castle before their reception, as well as behind-the-scenes shots of their official wedding portraits. There were also images of Meghan with her mother and Harry embracing a wedding guest.

Other photos depicted the couple giving speeches, toasting, and sharing a kiss in front of their loved ones.

In the images from the evening festivities, Meghan posted 12 photos of them dancing and sharing a kiss, with Meghan flaunting her new wedding ring. Harry and Meghan got married on May 19, 2018, in a magical ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
